Meetups and events
I give different talks in meetups and events. I really enjoy this because sharing the knowledge we have, is the best way to keep growing as a software developer's community. Some of the talks that I have presented are the followings:
Alphabetical (Game)
We can’t live only by programming, so we played Alphabetical! After developing the Web App for the game, with some help I prepared sets of technical and non technical questions for 2 teams and make them play Alphabetical (yes, like in the TV Show).
Angular to React: Lessons learned in the road
After working several years using Angular, I started learning React and made a couple of small projects. In the road I learned some lessons, and some similarities and differences that we share in this talk.
Business Model Canvas tour
This tool can be used in different ways. I conducted a 3 session workshop to teach how it can be used on business teams and personal careers.
Docker for devs 101
An introduction of Docker basics concepts, how we can use it for development environments and some benefits of it.
UX 101: Don’t make them think
UX basics concepts are useful for most developers, so we share some basic concepts and see how familiar some of them can me! (Most topics based on the book Don’t make me think by Steve Krug)
“Pointers”, value and reference; how does Javascript work?
A core concept that can save us from bugs and have a better understanding on how Javascript does some things.
Soft Skills and their influence on your career
At XXVI Ibero-American Conference on Software Engineering I presented how important are the soft skills in our industry, how they can leverage our careers, some key concepts to manage teams and how we can develop them.
Web to mobile developer
As web developers (specially if you are a frontend developer) we have several paths to become a mobile developer. In this talk we discuss some of them and explain basics topics of Ionic which is a great option for an Hybrid application.
